My way

“Even at a young age, I intuitively knew that I would attain absolute and complete liberation in this lifetime. It is with this knowledge that Satsang takes place, and with this in mind, I traveled throughout Germany and other countries for more than twenty years to give Satsang.

Following my long-standing close connection with Osho, who gave me the name Samarpan, another formative event entered my life.

In October 2017, I unexpectedly received an invitation from H.H. Shree Shivkrupanand Swami to an international sacred retreat in India. I immediately felt a strong urge to accept this invitation, despite my fully booked schedule.

In my encounter with Shree Shivkrupanand Swami, I experienced—and continue to experience—the great gift of yet another profound awakening. Sharing Swamiji’s teachings and the Himalaya-Samarpan Meditations with you now is a fulfillment for me, and it is in this awareness that Satsang takes place.

I am fully here for you in this shared process. I firmly believe that we are all being guided in the right direction.”

With love

Soham

Soham was born in San Francisco in 1941. He has led an eventful life. Born into a Catholic family, his early religious upbringing and exploration of Christianity shaped his worldview. He later encountered Osho, Gangaji, and Papaji, and today he is a devoted disciple (disciple) of Shree Shivkrupanand Swamiji.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of gender, age, skin color, or religion, and is accepted without prejudice, along with all their questions, doubts, and heartfelt concerns.

The profound wisdom with which Sohamji answers questions opens a new door to greater awareness for everyone. This enables a stream of consciousness that can flow through every open-hearted person.

Meaning of the name Soham

The name Soham means: the presence of the divine in every soul. I am THAT. “How I came to ask Swamiji for a new name is a special story. It all began with his invitation in 2017 to participate in a retreat in India.

I immediately felt a complete resonance with this extraordinary being and with what he has to offer. Swamiji teaches an amazing method he brought back from his many years in the Himalayas, which enables us “ordinary” people to attain self-knowledge and liberation: the “Himalaya Samarpan Meditation.”

My former spiritual name, Samarpan—which I had received from Osho 40 years ago—increasingly bothered me because Samarpan Meditation (originally spread under that name) was being practiced and shared everywhere. My final act as “Samarpan”—Samarpan means devotion—was to surrender this wonderful name and take the name Swamiji gave me: SOHAM
