“You seek security in the outside world—but security can only be found within. Within, you are at deep peace, without limits, and not attached to thoughts. Therefore: Turn your attention inward. Stay in touch with your sacred soul. It is a part of God.”

Whitsun is traditionally a day to celebrate the Holy Spirit, who was received by Jesus’ disciples and led them to the knowledge of their own souls. This is the foundation upon which the Christian Church was built.
For us, this is a miracle that transcends the mind. So, on Whitsun Retreat, we celebrate together with Soham the certainty that we are sacred souls and can become aware of our own divine nature.
Madhubhan offers a soothing setting to find inner peace and relaxation, allowing one to immerse oneself in meditation.
The spacious garden invites you to relax and linger in silence. The immediate surroundings near the vineyards offer opportunities for walks and short excursions.
We are very much looking forward to our time together, which offers a special opportunity to share our inner processes with Soham and to be together in Satsang.
An online retreat is a very special challenge
You’re in your usual surroundings, surrounded by neighbors who aren’t on the retreat and don’t know what it’s about. Your books are on the shelf, and you can turn on the TV or use the computer at any time… Simply being with yourself is a challenge. But it’s worth it.
In an online retreat, you can truly take a break from your “normal world.” Make the most of it. Turn it into a retreat, completely and utterly. And stay true to yourself. Improvise and see how it can harmonize with your situation. It’s something very flexible and is allowed to be in flux.
Soham's recommendations for online retreat participants:
- Let your friends know that you will be meditating during this time.
- Turn off your phone and TV.
- Put your books out of sight.
- Make sure you have comfortable clothes.
- Make sure you have a sufficient supply of fresh food.
- Eat light meals and avoid alcohol.
- Do light exercises and go for walks.
- Go to bed early and get up as soon as you wake up.
- Let everything you do during this time be a form of meditation.
